The Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company (HPE) is an American global information technology corporation headquartered in Spring, Texas. HPE was created on November 1, 2015, in Palo Alto, California, as part of the Hewlett-Packard company's separation. It is a company that specializes in servers, storage, networking, containerization software, and consultancy and support. The separation was designed such that the previous Hewlett-Packard entity would be renamed HP Inc.
Hewlett-Packard Enterprise would be spun off as a separate entity. HP Inc. kept the former HPE's personal computer and printing businesses, as well as it's stock price history and the original NYSE ticker sign for Hewlett-Packard; Enterprise trades under its ticker symbol: HPE. HPE's revenue was marginally lower than that of HP Inc. at the time of the spin-off DXC Technology was formed in 2017 when HPE spun off its Enterprise Services division and merged it with Computer Sciences Corporation. In 2017, it also spun off its software company and merged it with Micro Focus.
