Job Description

Isolate, purify, and characterize bioactive compounds from medicinal plants and other natural sources.
Conduct structural elucidation of compounds using techniques like NMR, LC-MS, and HPLC.
Write and edit high-quality scientific content, book chapters, and regulatory documents related to medicinal chemistry.
Develop synthetic or semi-synthetic methodologies for natural products.
Perform structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies to identify therapeutic potential.
Validate analytical methods and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for drug discovery and development projects.
Maintain accurate documentation, prepare technical reports, and contribute to research publications.

 

Qualification & Experience:
Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, Phytochemistry, or a related field.
M.Sc./M.Pharm. Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in medicinal chemistry, preferably in academia or industry.
Expertise in stereochemical concepts, classification of phytochemicals, ChemDraw, data analysis and interpretation.
Prior experience in natural product research, chemistry of plant natural products, structure-activity relationship, stereochemistry, conformation and natural product synthesis is desirable.
Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals, with an H-index greater than 10.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
Strong collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
