Responsibilities:
Implement methods for omics data analysis, and interpretation of genomics data (e.g. RNA-seq, Genomics, Metagenomics, etc).
Apply and develop innovative analysis approaches when standard methods are not adequate.
Communicate own work effectively orally and in writing: contribute to writing procedures and technical reports.
Maintain proper records in accordance with SOPs.
Domain Knowledge in either one of these:
Skills:
Degree in a related scientific discipline (Bioinformatics, Computer science, Biology, or Genomics) with 1+ year of experience.
Additional Criterias:
Sound knowledge of NGS data analysis RNA seq. WGS, 16s Amplicon, GBS, Variant calling, etc. Q
Experience in analyzing NGS datasets Metagenomics, etc Genome Assembly. RNA-Seq, Exome-Seq.
Proficient in relevant programming languages( bash scripting, R. and Python).
Demonstrated knowledge of HPC and FTP/SFTP.
Good Knowledge of existing bioinformatics databases and file formats.
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, and follow deadlines in accordance with company policy.
Knowledge or familiarity with long-read sequencing and data analysis.
Knowledge of workflow managers like snake make, and Nextflow.
Experience in handling clinical data.
