The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) have partnered to establish a special Quantum Technology Lab. As part of SSIR's commitment to corporate social responsibility, this initiative seeks to annually offer research and training support opportunities to hundreds of students and dozens of faculty members pursuing higher education, both at IISc and other educational institutions, with a focus on physics, engineering, computer science, and mathematics. Under the direction of Associate Professor Mayank Shrivastava of the Department of Electronic Systems Engineering (DESE), the lab seeks to become a cutting-edge establishment devoted to cutting-edge quantum technologies.
